We are looking to provide a solution for the following:
Remote Network is 10.1.1.1 w/20 Avaya IP Phones
Host network is running Definity G3-IP. The network is 172.1.1.1
The two networks do not wish to route each other's addresses so we are forced to employ either a NAT or PAT scenario. PAT is...
Have a situation thus. CallManager using MGCP g/w in Europe. Calls to U.S. travel via Frame Relay to an Avaya switch configured as an H.323 Gateway in the CallManager.
USA Avaya switch has 4 digit extensions. Users dial 333.XXXX and 333 is stripped Pre-Dot and the 4-digits are sent to the...
Use 2 Line Groups.
Line Group "A" set the RNA Reversion Timeout to 12 Seconds and add the extensions (4000, 4001, 4002..etc). Set the Distribution Algorithm to Circular, Top Down or Longest Idle Time. Then, select on No Answer/Busy, etc.. to "Try next memeber, then next Group in Hunt List...
You can forwad the Hunt Pilot to the mobile/cell phone, however, this will only ring that phone on RONA or Busy for the hunt group and is technically not an active part of the hunt group. It may still provide the solution if you don't mind the mobile phone being the last fallback device.
Goto the Phone Configuration page for that device and make sure you have selected the 7914 Expansion Module under the "Expansion Module Information" section.
Allow me to clarify (after re-rereading my post, it does not appear clear). The customer does not allow calls out to the PSTN to pass caller-ID of the extensions (just the main number is published). Currently, calls are not made from business unit "A" to "C" via "B". "B" Currently contains...
Enterprise will give you all kinds of failover and can consist of 6 or more servers. It is for large-scale distributed call centers. IPCC Express Premium will give you all sorts of goodies. You can start with a single server and add more for High Availability or to offload processing of some...
I am Cisco IP Specialist who is planning an integration with a 2400 IMX r11 PBX. I am not familiar with this PBX. I am advised that there are muliple NEC systems connected via T-1 Tie Trunks in a hub or star formation (all Tie's point back to the main 2400). Currently, the design is such that...
Can Cisco switch (in this case a 3550) with inline power provide pwr to a vodavi ip (ip 24) phone ? Part # 3813-02
Cisco siwtches uses pins 4,5 (return) and 7,8 (source) for power.
Thanks,
ps. sorry for the cross post - not sure what system to place this
The phone that a user logs into can be "assigned" to anyone. Simply setup the phone as you normally would. Be sure to subscribe to the E-mobility service for the specific phone ("subscribe/unsuscribe services" link is located on the upper-right-hand of the page for a phone)...
Thanks for the suggestions. We used both ethereal and sniffer. Did not think to use the built in hub (cisco stuff uses an internal switch so we figured the Avaya was the same). Thanks for the tip. I'll let you know how it goes.
We're using a hub for that very reason. The Sniffer and IP Phone are both plugged into the hub (the only 2 devices) and that is plugged into the switch via uplink. The phone works wonderfully well - we just can't see any unicast traffic (only broadcasts)....
Did you ever resolve this. We are also attempting to sniff a call to/from an Avaya IP phone and do not see the expected traffic. We're looking for the rtp stream
