What type of tape library are you using? I am using a Dell Powervault 120T autoloader. I haven't noticed a correlation between the time of failure and loading new tapes. More information would be great. Were you able to solve the problem.
I have had EXACTLY the same issue. NICs and Switches have be set up as Veritas recommends and still the errors continue. Strangest thing is that as I think was mentioned, that the error floats. On one backup Server 3, Drive D might show an error, the next night Server 3, Drive D will be fine...
I was having the same problem. Called support and they forwarded a patch for the remote agent. They indicated that it would be on the site in the next couple of days. Hope this helps.
I am having a similar problem. The user is unable to delete the message that is being referenced in the event. I have been unable to find any reference on how to remove a corrupt message from the mailbox. Anyone have any ideas?
Does the restore screen show "Exchange Brick Level"
or just the IS..
If it is just the IS, then you'd have to restore the entire IS to get back the Mailbox.

1. Add the Exchange server under the client agents using "Host name resolution"
2. You need to backup the brick level to be able to restore
a single mailbox

What are you logged in as, when you try to run this job..
And.. check the ARcserve server admin and check if it has the same user account as the one you are talking about.

Hi,
First of all YOU SHOULD NOT BACKUP THE M:\ as per MS.
This might give you lotsa problem at the worst corrupt the Exchange database. Refer Q298924
The M: is just a virtual container with pointers.
If you have to backup the Exchange mailboxes you need to install the Exchange agent on...
Ok. If that is the case then here is my issue. My current backup process runs from 6pm to about 4am. Exchange IS and Brick takes about two of those hours. I am planning to dramatically increase my exchange system storage so if the current throughput stays the same, the exchange backup could...
ARcserve 2000 works with pretty much all the AV softwares.
it should work best with their own AV, InoculateIT\Etrust
Try stopping the AV and check if all is OK.
Set the AV to scan the incoming direction only..
Hope this helps

Sorry forgot to add that I am running Arcserve 9. However, prior to the upgrade, I was getting similar throughput and had already applied the patches you suggested.
Other suggestions?

Problem solved!! :)
Here's what I've done based on the previous posts:-
Restored by Session - as I couldn't drill down, I highlighted the full Session tab and pointed at another drive. All data restored successfully to target directory. Still nothing in the database.
Database Corruption -...
