PosGuyUS - I have pressed the IP reset button but nothing happens from a printing perspective (i.e. printing the current IP address).
TobeThor - Most likely updating the system to a newer one as this is on its last legs.
The terminals have Win98 - I am trying to connect with just any XP machine in the office. The Backoffice is Windows XP and the terminals are Win98 (I know - I have to replace the system soon) - just trying to get through the next 2-3 months [smile]
When I reset the printer - it doesn't print...
I cannot seem to connect to the printer at all. I reset it using the reset button in the back and followed instructions above and even here:
http://downloads.csmcentral.com/EPSON/Setting%20up%20EPSON%20U220b.pdf
Nothing allows me to see/connect to the printer.
Any ideas?
ok - so I just plug into the router/switch and configure it that way?
Does anything specific have to be done for Win 98 or should I just follow the steps here:
http://www.beaglehardware.com/howtoethernet.html
I am working on this today - do I need to install drivers for the U220 printer? The terminals have Win98 and the printer would be connected to the com port of a terminal via an RJ45 cable.
Tbe printer isn't getting an IP assigned - it is getting 0.0.0.0 assigned so most likely the utility is not able to find the Printer due to that.
I will follow the instructions on that page.
Thanks,
CJ
I bought and tried a U200 printer as well - got the same message.
This seems to be related to the network settings - as the self test showed the printer does not have an IP address. The interface seems to be a Type III - but when I ran EEIUtil4.exe util from the Aloha BOF (wouldn't run from...
Hi,
I am running Aloha 5.034 and recently one of our Kitchen Epson printer stopped working. We had the Epson U200B (using the Epson 300 option in the Back Office) and we received a Epson U220 (newer one) from someone. I set the Printer up and selected the Epson U200 in the Backoffice as the...
Not sure I follow. To simplify the product mix reporting and menu creation, I was looking to remove old and duplicate menu items. If I remove the 3 names and other information as well, won't the PLU# get removed? If not, will the PLU# continue to show up in reports?
Hi,
I have 2 questions regarding Aloha 5.0.34.
1. Does it allow promos to be restricted by time? I would like our Happy Hour promo to only be applied from 5PM to 7PM. If not, I can just have it manager enforced.
2. I would like to do some Item maintenance. We have a lot of duplicate items...
I am not sure if you are still in a bind but when I was rebuilding my system, we ran into a similar issue. Joel S from sotapop consulting (http://sotapop.org/sotapop/) helped me out remotely. He tried various things but it was some combination of network sharing and the right u/p on the...
Hi Bo,
The problem was that the data never changed. It was the original data on the D drive, I only upgraded the C drive.
I tried copying it from an older folder but that didn't make a difference so I reverted it. Upgrading the Database resolved the issue where DBF files were not found...
Any support would be appreciated, even willing to pay someone to remotely login and fix this issue. Just want to get this issue resolved (it being so close)

Hi,
I just migrated Aloha 5.034 from NT to XP (NT crashed and wouldn't start). Everything seems to be ok. CTLSVR runs and Aloha Mgr starts up fine. The problem I am seeing is when I run Aloha Mgr and login - I don't see any of the old menus (reports/utilities/etc) and the right side buttons...
I used hdd32.exe to get the HASP4 dongle working now - CTLSVR is running and so is Aloha Manager.
I am having other problems with Aloha Mgr now - I will start a new thread for that.
Thanks!!
