Can anyone give me a hand on this, I managed to get it to work by adding <System.STAThread()> in front of my sub declaration. However, it worked for about 5 minutes and, without apparent reason, went back to giving error messages... Seriously, what the hell.
Their is really little info on...
Hi,
I have a macro in Visual Studio to launch the current project with the proper command line. This command lines holds a file name that I would like the user to select with an open file dialog box but OpenFileDialog fails to work with the following error:
"Current thread must be set to...
There is possibly a firmware update available for the drives but I can't install it as it involves opening the PC case which is locked and using a diskette and I don't have a diskette reader. Seagate utility does not work with RAID controller so I have no way of knowing the current firmware...
No corrupt file using SFC. As for the other threads some problems are similar but not caused by the same things in the end.
What is weird thought is when I went to the Seagate site to see my HD firmware to determine if it was problematic with raid, there application was unable to detect my...
@BagBigBen:
Unfortunately we can't uninstall the anti-virus (the server keeps running a script to make sure we don't fool with it since we work with lot of confidential info.). It's McAfee. I can't even disable on access scan (well I can but it gets reenabled minutes later). But many people are...
Sorry for the triple post,
I noticed we are using generic driver for the hard drives.
The model is Barracuda ES.2 SATA 3.0-Gb/s 500-GB Hard Drive (ST3500320NS).
And the raid controller is Intel(R) ICH7R/DH SAT RAID Controller.
Could it be the hard drives getting old ? The raid...
I did setup the performance console as indicated, except for the sampling time because my hangs are short.
One of the most annoying thing I experience is step-by-step debugging with visual studio which is almost always slow (and it's not the case on my coworker machines).
The only things that...
Hello !
Problem summary: I am having lots of annoying hang and slow down on my work PC.
PC description: Intel quad core with 4 gig of ram and 2x500 gig HD in raid (7200rpm) on two partitions (100g for OS 400 for data)
Environment: I work mainly on visual studio, building big projects...
Sorry BadBigBen I screwed up your name in the last post...
The issue is still present in streamed internet content. The one try I did with VNC worked 7 minutes and the image froze but the sound kept playing... When I tried to move the video forward I lost the image completely.
So, would that...
BigBadBen: I'll try a fifteen minutes video tonight with firefox and then try it with vlc. As for the K-Lite pack I uninstalled it after trying it to keep as little noise as possible while I figure out what the problem is.
wahnula: I aready did try that without success.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the answer,
I just clean formatted the computer so no firewall, anti-virus/spyware is running (windows firewall is disabled). I did some progress yesterday though. I disabled the EQ of my sound driver and it helped (the lag was less frequent). Also it seemed that disabling flash...
Hi all,
first of all sorry if this is not the best forum, I searched a while and could not find a better match.
I experience periodic video lag in streamed internet video using flash media player (even when the video is fully downloaded). During those lag I see about 1 frame every 2 seconds...
I know I could write one myself but it would feel like reinventing the wheel. All I need is to copy writable files, I can't believe I have to write such a basic thing from scratch...
I'll have a look at the VBScript forum.
Thanks.
Hi all,
first sorry if this is not the good forum to post this question I could not find anything more suitable.
I am trying to create a batch file that will simply copy all files in a given directory that have the read-only attribute set to false. My goal is to back-up checked-out source...
No, I sold it before I got the other one. However I doubt that it is defective. It is a brand new OCZ. I have rarely heard of defective PSU out of the box. Also I monitored the voltage and they all are within the normal operation range. But still, I guess you could be right, but I have no way of...
