I promise...I searched for the answer before I posted! I've got a Norstar 0x32. Is there a way to make internal lines ring with a different ringer than external lines? I know that by default they do a single ring for external calls and a double ring for Internal calls...but can that be a...
I've worked on a lot of 8x24's, but this is the first 0x32 I am working on. I have a 0x32 with (2) 4-port DID phone line cards installed.
I Need to be able to transfer a call to an external number. I can't seem to get it to work. Question 1 - is there a way to make the Norstar send a "Flash"...
I'll let you know which options help me when I get back to the client site on Friday. I can tell you this...I will not be allowed to remove any of the 4 lines from the phones. These people love being able to see how many lines are in use. So I will try the options above and let you know what...
I can not do a forward on busy to VM as 4 incoming lines ring on all phones. If one person is busy, that incoming line will then go right into their VM instead of ringing on all phones.
I was about to ask the same question on the DND. ...we have one line that goes right to the AA. If someone prompts zero, it rings on all extensions via an answer DN. If the extension in question does a DND on busy, will that affect the calls that ring on all phones? Right now, the extensions...
I have a client with a Norstar 8x24 DR5. They spend a lot of time on the phone. When on speaker phone, the second call (Transferred or inbound) rings and causes the conversation to disrupted. IS there a way to disable that second ring when already on the line?
Hello,
I have a 8x24 DR5 system with 4 phone lines. If you dial into a system with prompts, Line 1 works fine. If I use Lines 2-4 the dial tones never seem to get sent.
Any Ideas?
I know I am missing something....here's my problem: I am having a configuration problem with a Norstar 824 and a StarTalk Flash 2-port. On this system a user has extension 21 (the prime set) on their desk. So, I added a phone to the system and tried to make everything use this phone as the...
I am looking for advice on how to best program the following scenario. Here is how this goes:
During the day the system needs to answer if no one gets the call in 6 rings. Then, a message will play asking for an extension, or # for directory, or 0. That is simple. But, at night I need to be...
For those who are interested - replacing the expansion module fixed the problem! I downed the system, installed the new card, connected the 12x0 and rebooted. Flash came up just fine with the new expansion card. I got my lines going and everyone is happy! I could have saved myself 2 days if...
Yes, the Flash works just fine when the 6-port is not in the unit. To troubleshoot, I connected a serial cable to the flash. When it boots with the 6-port in, it suffers a critical error and halts. Take out the 6-port, and it runs lika champ! I always use a serial cable when entering my...
I'll check the DR5 software version. As for the memory loss - I can power down the system, and bring it back up without memory loss. (Some loss of time on the clock...but I imagined the battery was getting older) If I power down and insert the 6-port I don't lose memory...it's only pulling...
I am running 3 digit extensions/mailboxes.
The Flash is plugged in to the last port on the main KSU
The software on the 824 is DR5.
And yes, the KSU does boot with the 6-port plugged in. I pull the 6-port module and all settings on the KSU are lost. Again, I guess that could be normal...
Does anyone know - does the Norstar flash have any problems with a 6-port expansion module? I have an 824..and if I put in the 6-port expansion module, the voicemail crashes. I see this by hooking up a terminal cable. It boots, has a critical error and then halts. If I remove the 6-port, it...
I'd love to do it that way...but they're requiring the 4 rings on all phones before the AA picks up. So I just turned off the forward on busy to get around it.
Hello, I have a 8x24 with dr5 software. I have a norstar flash 2 port. We need to have 4 incoming lines ring on 12 phones. Got that set up by adding the lines to the phones. There is an AA that answers after 4 rings. Here's the problem - if user 1 is on the phone, all calls forward to...
