    GA 7VAXP- Installation issue -Drivers

    I have g-7vaxp. In BIOS (Integrated Peripherals) change the Promise chip from RAID to ATA. I would connect all the ATAPI devices (CD-ROM, DVD, ZIP,..) to IDE1 and 2. Hard drive goes to IDE3 and 4.

    Moving from one RAID to another

    I don't know the AMI raid controller but if you move to HighPoint, I think you have to re-install everything because the stripes are different. I moved my HPT to Promise Raid, had to re-created the whole setup.
