i've written down the manual steps to do the above -- i just don't know how to transfer it into macro jargon.
step 1: i position the cursor on the first cell that has an account number (Column D)
step 2: i would begin the macro
step 3: macro would Ctrl-C
move down three rows...
thanks guys. i had already tried hth roy-vidar's visual basic method and it worked perfectly. i didn't know using vb was so easy. hehe
i will try your method too steve so that i can understand the excel method.
you guys are the best.
hi guys (and gals)
i've got a report that i pull into excel. unfortunately it is an exact duplicate of the actual report -- with headers and detail sections. in the header of each detail section (one detail section for each account number) is the account number. i need that brought down into...
howdy,
i have a field in an excel spreadsheet that has something like 1234-198 or 123-1988. it can have 4 or 3 digits before the dash and up to 10 characters after the dash. i want to break this out into two separate fields using the dash as the breakpoint. (i don't want the dash in either...
we use blackbaud's financial edge accounting software which uses crystal reports for its reporting modules.
i need to upload that report into monarch for windows for data analysis. the problem is that when i export the print preview report to any of the options (of which there are many)...
mike presswood's book has a little section on how to keep to forms in sync but i don't know how to translate this into table frames.
i have two tables:
"constituents"
ImportID A20*
LastName A30
FirstName A15
Solicitor# A3
"projected income"...
thanks. i'll try my hand at creating my own lookup dialog box. i'll probably need help on passing the "chosen" record back to the original form. but i'll give it a try.
is it possible to make the default lookup help dialog box bigger when it opens up? it is just too small to be useful as is. i remember reading years ago that it was possible. thanks for any help.
i played around with what you gave me and this is what ended up working.
([:Grants2:Awards.Total Award]*[:Grants2:Awards.Probability%]/100)*Sum([:Grants2:Awards2.Program%]/100)
thanks so much!
i need to create a summary field for a calculated field in restricted view. the calculated field in the subform is itself using a variable to utilize a calculated field in another table (subform).
subform "awards" has a calculated field called "RevisedAmount" --...
well, i tried everything but nothing worked. finally i just exported the two paradox tables causing the trouble to excel and deleted the paradox tables. i re-impported the data back into paradox tables and reassigned the primary keys and field names. my lookup works flawlessly.
i can't figure out why i'm getting the "higher table level required" message when i try to do a table lookup.
i have a table "Awards" which has a non-keyed field:
Type A2 (i've created a secondary index on it)
i have another table called "Award Types"...
i see that in paradox 10 help it says there is a capability to highlight the current record -- but it doesn't explain how.
i have a 1-m-m-m form (all table frames) and would like the current record of the master form to remain highlighted as i move through the various sub-forms.
thanks.
