Hi, I use Arcserve 2000 sp4 on windows2000 sp3. I can make backups and restore currently, but I do not vave access to 'server admin' utility. This utility cannot start. Is there any way to reinstall Arcserve without loosing current configuration? Please help! Thanks.

Hi, Can anybody tell me why the 'server admin' cannot start - err. message: program not respond. All other parts of ArcServe 2000 can start and seem work properly. Do I need to reinstall software in order get access to this, what happens to prevously done backups? Can anybody help? Thanks.

Hi, Over time you can have a lot of these files. But it is save to remove all of them r* from from \arcserve\database directory. You have to stop database engine first. When database engine starts all three needed files will be recreated. It works for me.

Hi, Compression coused the problem. I applied patch qo19352 on sp4 for arcserve 2000 and it fixed the problem. All prevously done backup can be restored and files are not corrupted. I tested a few and it was fine. The key ward was 'compression'. Thanks

Hi, I need to restore MS Access database about 6Mb. I use Arcserve 2000 on Win2k sp3. The procedure seens run well.
