I have a SMC2404 router and 2 computers with vpn checkpoint clients installed, I have laptop on wireless with checkpoint client.
I can establish a vpn connections from all 3 computers at the same time.
Not every router will give you teh ability to use more than one tunnel.

2) Loading default CMOs setup.
Try to disable you l1 and l2 cache, lower memory speed in the bios, disable all performance setup is the BIOS.
