It turns out that the ctrl and alt on one side of the keyboard don't work but the other side does. Can't have partialy functional equipment so I replaced the keyboard. THANX ALL

I can see where that would be true. and I wish that it was that easy. but alas it's not. the computer has not crashed in some time and when it boots it is seeing the legacy keyboard. and all of the keys are functioning. ie.. (alt + tab) (ctrl+a) (alt + right arrow) etc etc.

I've just went two days without losing the server. first i updated the network card drivers. started to acquire the bios drivers to update them. called a tm reseller and he had had the same problem. he said reboot the hub and swithches. I did and havent had the problem since. (knock on wood)...

I think the tape backup is using comm 1 (it says scsi port 1 not sure if thats the same thing) when i go to reboot the server seems fine. i installed the service pak about a week ago. but the problem was occuring before and since then i am makeing a emergency disk at this moment. thanx again

It says computer name: Talleys domain:talleys_phx. I can handle removing the netbuei but as its set up now when u do that u cant see the network(virtual)drives.I need to know what to do so that we can remove the netbeui and still be able to see all the drives(assumably by using tcp/ip)

What's pdc we are using it for peer to peer and print and file sharing we have a lan to our other locations but we are not using that very much right now. how would I go about ditching netbeui and just using tcp/ip. that was one of the options I have been considering
