Don't do it. There are very few HP experts out there. We are having great difficulty getting cisco and hp to work over a gig fiber link. I hope you don't plan on bridging between your two sites. Cheers, Jim

Let's see, you have a 100mb lan on one side and the other is 100mb and you want to put about a 1mb connection between the two. You can do that if you want....but 1.5mb layer three works sooooo much better connecting 2 100mb lans...than does 1.5mb layer two. Cheers, Jim

oooPSS, i don't know what I was thinking. Only one vlan interface can be active at a time....so I can't really help. You haven't mentioned the router or the ios version on the router. I still suspect that could be the problem. Jim

Why are your vlan interfaces administratively shut down? Enble the interfaces with the 'no shutdown' command. Also, is your routero properly configured. You need ios software that supports vlans so you need ip plus on your router to route between the different vlans. I also assume you have...

As someone previously stated....you can do that with bridging. Both routers must have software that supports vlans. Regulr IP software won't work....so you need ip plus to make this happen. I recommend you spend the extra 1000 to 1500 dollars for each router and set up bridging...just to...

Do you have the correct ios version. I believe you need IP Plus in order to do trunking. You definitely can't do trunking with just the IP version of IOS. Good luck, Jim
