    ok let me explain more... when u plug something into the switch your port turns green, and inside the green the is a capital P, on my 5520s maybe 5510s also i dont remember, those P's are green, red, orange... and all are funtioning... so red cannot mean down in the case of the P in the the...

    Sorry for the inexperienced question but on my 5520's when I view them with device manager, what is the difference between connected ports with orange/green/red P's... ;( I thought it was the port connection speed but it varies from port to port. Thanks in advance
