I've designed a certificate in CorelDraw 11 and wish to use the print merge feature to input a list of names given to me via an emailed word document. Isn't there some way I can copy and paste the names instead of typing each into coreldraw? I try to use the print merge wizard and choose...
Good info nullgod, we don't deal much with webpage graphics but if we do we'll consider PSP. I have noticed that the buttons created in CorelDraw are less than desired for the web. We also have Photoshop 6.0 that I could experiment with.
nullgod, what is so hard about creating a rastor image in CorelDraw. Create a vector, then export it as a jpg or gif, there's your rasterization. CorelDraw is excellent for creating Banners! Size your page exactly to the size you want your banner to be and start drawing or importing graphics...
Wow! This print merge is really getting to me. I just don't have enough experience with it. I hate the old cliché "that's the way we've always done it". If I hear of a "better" or "faster" way, I want to know how to do it. I appreciate all your help but I...
Thank you for your input. I had discovered the "print merge" option just after submitting the post. I followed your directions up to the point where you imported sreadsheet text? I can't say that this feature is any faster than just creating the 10 cards on the sheet, editing each...
I want to create cards that are to be used as a "get home free and safe" pass. I need the cards to be individually labeled with a control number. Does anyone know of a way to automatically number these cards? I have downloaded a page numbering script made specifically for CorelDraw...
CorelDraw 10's Application Recovery Manager wizard starts up whenever I import/export and most times when I open a file I haven't accesed in a while. First this ARM asks if I would like to send a report of the failure to Corel Corporation but gives an error it won't send the report. I lose...
I like to draw a box around the graphic you want and fill it with a color that "is not" in your graphic, then sent it behind. That way when you export it as a GIF you can use the eye dropper tool to select that background and it will export the graphic excluding that background. If...
Are you wanting to resize your paper or your image? To resize the image double-click the ruler and change it from inches to pixels. Now with your image selected choose your Node edit tool. You may have to pull the top two nodes down or the two side ones in to get the image sized the way you...
Okay, if I understand it correctly, when you import an image and choose "link bitmap externally" you are basically putting a low resolution sketch on the page. This will cut down your file size significantly and still print at the 300dpi resolution, you don't need to "resolve...
Invisible background? Any rastor image you import will have a background unless it taken out and converted to a GIF. It can be taken away in 2 ways depending on how complex the background.
1. Right-click on the image and choose "edit image". This will take you to PhotoPaint where...
Have you read through the manual that came with the camera or talked to the manufacturer? Maybe it came with software. I'd say your first step, before using CorelDraw, is to use a program to "capture" a still from your MPEG. I found this free download at...
Are you sure that it's "mpg" and not "jpg"? Mpg or more correctly MPEG is a video format not still pictures. I have not heard of a digital camera that takes still and outputs an "mpg" type file.
You can go to Windows/Dockers and choose "view manager". Zoom in to your max. and then hit the "+" in the view manager docker to add your current view.
The only draw back may be that it will only zoom to that exact spot. You could add other views though. Hope this helps.
When you "double-click" the bmp and it opens PhotoPaint couldn't you just "right-click" down on an open area of you task bar and choose "tile vertically"?
Have you tried going to "tools/options" and choosing "New" right there at the workspace screen? Call it anything you like and play with the rest of those settings, as well. Choose "OK" and close the program and start it up again. Did it keep your settings then?
Reinstall just for the clipart? Do you mean you want to use a different progam yet be able to import/export the clipart? I was able to use PowerPoint by going to "insert/object" choose CorelDraw "X" Graphic(X=version) and it gave me a box in which I had to copy and paste...
This is a good question. I would like to know the answer too. BTW what reason would you need to know the exact length of a line? Unless you're working with string?
