The approach to move on with a newer release we took was the one recommended by Avaya, since they do not offer any support/maintenance for the current failing hardware (6+ years old).
Avaya recommended to use this opportunity to replace with new hardware.
The current system has a harddrive failure.
We will be getting a brand new S8300D on G450, cd drive and CM 5.2.1 installation media. Licenses upgrade to CM 5.2.1 was also included.
We will need to transfer licensing to the new server.
My main concern was the posibility to use the CM2 backup...
What do you mean by "reprogram the media-gateways in CM" is this done from the web browser too?. What settings done I need to keep from the old media-gateway?.
