Thanks Supergrrover! I think this is the second time you've assisted me and I greatly appreciate it! I'm looking now to see if i can get a second IP address from my ISP. Basically then all I would need to do from the sounds of the board here, is to make some sort of access-list and and...
I have a Cisco Pix 515e running 6.3. I have an external ip of 156.108.xxx.xxx (only one external ip) and need to forward UDP ports 10000 thru 20000 to one internal asterisk server(10.10.10.185) to allow RTP for external voip phones to work. Is it possible to do one command to allow port...
Thanks for your help supergrrover. It has to do with my access lists and the fixup protocol command. I just removed the access-list for asterisk and added it to my inbound access-list and now everything is working! Thanks again for your help. I appreciated the assistance!
I did re-enable the fixup for sip and still the phones will not register. I am thinking it could do with one of my access-lists. I did create a separate access called asterisk to allow that traffic to go to the asterisk server. Am I wrong with doing that? Could my first access list, inbound...
I am trying to setup my Pix 515E to allow external phones from the internet (either soft phones or hard phones) to register with my asterisk server which sits on my internal network. I can't seem to figure it out.
The internal address is 10.10.10.185. I have setup to what I believe is correct...
Gknight1,
Thanks for this info. I was looking thru Avaya's site and didn't find anything but their CCC which we can't get at this time. I will try Chronical and see what type of information that gives us.
Thanks Again!
Mike
Well considering I am in Colorado and rural Colorado to be more precise we have limited options and Qwest is basically our only option. We are a government entity and are looking to provide better services to our employees and our customers, the citizens. We are just trying to see if we...
Hello,
we have an IP Office 412 Unit with a T1 BRI from our Telco provider, Qwest. We currently have all 24 channels that can be used for incoming and out going calls. We are looking to move to a different provider who can provide us with a PRI ISDN line for our voice calls, but can only...
HELP!! I upgraded a 4621SW Ip phone to the SIP firmware from avaya's site to test it as a true SIP phone with Asterisk. Now I want to downgrade it back to the H323 firmware to work within my IP Office system. Is it as simple as plugging it back into my network and let it download from the TFTP...
Again,
Thanks for the info! I am totally clueless when it comes to the phone system. I know enough to be dangerous and break it LOL. The last thing I want to do is tank the entire system. This forum is a life saver to me so far. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the information TomMills,
I will continue to read the avaya site and this forum to see about the process to upgrade to 4.2 on everything. Hopefully it won't break stuff or delete stuff like our upgrade to 4.0 did from 2.1 LOL. everything should be the same such as short codes, hunt...
Yes we are running 4.0 across the board for all our systems currently. I have read that 4.0 is very buggy. Would it be worth it to upgrade the voicemail now and then our systems later? We only have the one voicemail server and about 5 other units(2 412's and 2 406's). I have been...
I am having an issue with our voice mail. We are having issues where a user will get a new voice mail but when the user access voice mail, it does not say that the user has any new voice mails. The users can either have phantom extensions, ones that don't have a phone physically assigned to...
