/usr/lib/netconfig/info/net0 you should have your nic.
Try to rename that file to net0.old and reboot.

I've checked the files and everything is alright.

I got a nasty error on my box. When i try to start CDE i got an error message that says " Unable to start the DT Messaging System .....check that your hostname is proporly set in these files. " The problem is that the only file i got is the /etc/hosts and my hostname is...
Another way is to run the command "strings" to get any readable text from the corefile. If youre lucky the program have left a signature in the corefile.

Start scoadmin -> network and change your hostname there.
Then go to a prompt and change the hostname with "uname -S newname". That should do the trick.

Don't know if this helps you, but in the /etc/power.conf there is a row that looks something like this:
"autoshutdown 30 9:00 9:00 shutdown"
Change that row so it looks like this:
"autoshutdown 30 9:00 9:00 noshutdown"
Not much of a change but it worked for me...

I'm not sure this really will help you but on the Skunkware cd, there is a script-collection. The name is "John D maintenace script" if i recall the name right. Anyhow one of the scripts shows the memory usage on a slight better way than you get with "swap -l"...
This is probably not the answer to your problem, but it's always a good idea to check the powersupply, measure to make sure you got good current. And while you still got that DMM out measure so you don't have any leak current to the chassis.

First you have to check if the "X" is installed at all. Open Scoadmin -> Software -> Check Software, i don't sit in front of an sco box right now so it might be examin software or something like that :-) If you dont have the X components IE the installation you have is an lightweight...
First of all check that your system is compatible with the hardware.
Second make sure that the new scsi adapter has the same values as the old one.
Third, check for updates on the scsi drivers from adaptec.
