I suggest you go back to Msconfig, now im guessing you went to the "startup" tab... this time go to the "services" tab... try that.
If not, uninstall the software, re-install and select in the options "dont load on startup"...
There is a way to change startup setting in regedit... i will find...
When you say boot i asume you mean within your OS aswell.
Within windows. go to start/run type in "ms config" then select the tab "startup" untick anything you dont need.
As for bios boot, you should go into your bios and disable anything your system doesnt use, e.g sata or pci sockets also...
