    I checked the BIOS for the D: Drive, and it is there. But, it doesn't respond when I put a CD-ROM into the disc tray. I can't figure out why.

    Wow. Linney, the ShellExView program fixed my explorer.exe problems, thank you so much. Now, all I have to do is fix my d: drive problem and I'll be satisfied. This site is amazing, I didn't think everyone would be so helpful, thank you.

    I'm not exactly an 'expert' with computers and computer related terms. If you could tell me exactly how to find this "BIOS" place you speak of, I can check. Thank you for the input, and I'm sorry I have to ask you to explain further, but your help will be appreciated.

    I get this error every time I try to open a folder, access my C: drive, use the Search option, use the run option, and open programs with my start menu. After I click 'Close' explorer.exe seems to refresh itself and return to normal. I have scanned for viruses/adware/spyware/trojans with Norton...
