It was basically and accident and I don't know what made it
work but it works. I can supply my config to anyone that wants to look at it and see if they can make theirs work with what I have.

So it is normal that to access web servers on the private side of the router I cannot use the www address I have to use the IP? When we use the www address what we get is a user name and password prompt from the router? This is all normal?
I am running an 827 router and Have the exact same issue. But for me when users inside try to go to the server they get a prompt for a user name and password... From the router! Instead of just being directed to the web server.

This was very informative. I have a problem somewhat related to this. All of our public traffic can get to our servers with no problem, but all our private address (local machines) cannot get to the server, instead they get a username and password prompt for the router.
