Please disregard. I was able to figure it out. I first created the parameter then a string variable(# varies on how many pages you have in your report). I am currently using Report Studio in Cognos 8. I am new to Cognos and haven't had any luck searching for the steps to create a display option prompt on my report that allows the users to toggle from report layout 1(layout page 1) to report layout 2(layout page 2).
