    In Cognos Configuration, right click, delete content store. Right click->add database, choose MS SQL Server (Windows authentication). Start service (windows services) as the user once you register it.

    not sure.. i think there are browsers other than IE supported. do you have any firewalls, load balancers etc? if you have a load balancer, make sure the sticky bit is enabled.
