Yes, Ellipse does interface to SAP via the Ellipse Adapter using an EAI broker. There is no direct interface though. Newmont Mining in Australia are currently employing a b2b interface for this purpose.

I concur. At least 2-3 years solid DBA experience is needed to ensure you really get the value out of certification. Otherwise, you're not really applying what you "know". Besides, some questions in the exams are real curly ones (i.e. many correct answers) and only through experience...
