    That's more like OS's file locking issue. R u using named pipeline to write in a sequential file? It work fine with my Win2000 box without named pipeline checked.

    What's your solaris version? From document, Datastage only support solaris 2.6 & 2.7. BTW, u can dial Ascential toll free support line.
