I'm not doing any layer 3 at all. Not doing any routing between vlan's. Just have two layer2 vlans set up with a couple of ports in each vlan. Each one of those vlans connects to an upstream router. if ya can't do more then one layer 2 vlan's then what's the point of having the switch do... -

Thanks that worked great. I'm not doing anything special with this box. I have 2 vlan's configured and a couple of interfaces in each, but when I do a no shut on one vlan the other one get's shutdown. Any ideas? 2950#sh run Building configuration... Current configuration : 1821 bytes ... -

I have a 2590 and no info on it. When I connect to the Console port I'm prompted for a username. Anyone know how to reset the config without actuall being able to login?
