Does anybody know how to negate a command, if you decide you don't want to use it ? For instance, to set spantree, you'd use:
Set spantree priority 8192 10.
How would you negate this command if you didn't want to use it ?
Does anyone know how enable rspan on two switches trunked running vtp with a sensor connected to just one switch ? So my set up looks like this.

I've gotten my R60 NGX secureclient to authenticate thru a wireless ap to my firewall. The client can ping the external, internal interfaces of the fw as well as workstations on the lan. The problem is, I can't get it to route to the cable modem and out to the internet. Is that enough to go on...
With Pix obviously having distinct security levles for it's internal and external interfaces, is it at all possible to access the pdm from the outside. I've created explicit rules allowing access from the outside to the pdm and it just won't work.
Has anyone ever had a problem running ospf on splatpro R60 HFA_04 ?
I'll get:
localhost#conf t
localhost(conf)router ospf 1
localhost(conf-router-ospf)network 172.1.1.0 0.0.0.255 area 0

I tried looking it up on the web, but no luck.
I'm running c2600-i-mz.123-20.bin, with 8mb of flash and 32mb of nvram. I'm not sure what happened other than a power outage I experienced, but now when I want to write to nvram using copy run start or wr mem, I get:
startup-config file open failed (Bad file number)
If I reboot, of course I...
I recently unchecked the first box under global properties, Accept vpn-1 pro/express control connections and the second box Acccept remote access control conncections. Is there any way to reset these options through a cli since, now, I have lost connectivity ?
I'm installing what I think is Provider 1 (R61) on Secureplatform (R60). It won't install because I need to remove CPsuite-R60-00. Does anyone know how to remove a package ? I've tried cppkg del, but I can't get the syntax right. Is there a R61 for NGX ?
I have a clue as to how to configure port based, but none on mac based vlan configuration. I try going into the vlan itself but get lost afterwards. Any help would be appreciated.
Excuse me if this seems like a very simple question. I have
an L3 4507, with all my hosts on vlan 1. I've created a second vlan for voip. Clients on vlan2 can ping each other, including the ip for vlan 1, but nothing else. The default route is our firewall. I know that with L2 switches trunked...
I noticed in R55, when you went to configure an Edge device you would first configure the profile, then insert the profile into the embedded device. I'm running R60 and don't see that feature any more. Is it now an interoperable device ? How doe you configure Edge appliances in R60 now ?
I'm running R55 HFA_09 for Secureplatform. Does anyone know what I have to do to upgrade to HFA_017 ? It's not like IPSO, where you can ftp to the firewall.
Just trying to backup to a tftp server.
I'm using write net x.x.x.x:filename.bin, but I keep getting
Building configuration...
TFTP write '/tftpboot/filename.bin' at x.x.x.x on interface 1

Any thoughts ??
Can anyone tell me if the 2620 Version 12.1(16)router supports inter vlan routing using 802.1q ? I'm trying to route for a 2950 switch. I'm supposed to be able to create a subinterface on the router but I don't think it supports it. According to Todd Lamle, it should.
I just a got a Cisco 2950 switch. When I directly connect to my 2950 switch, I get persistent replies when I ping. When I connect my switch to a 2600 router, the replies are spotty and the ttl is 253. Everything else replies with a ttl of 126. How do I change the ttl for the switch and wil this...
I just setup Secure Platform for Checkpoint R55 and once you log in to the server and change your credentials, you can't log in anywhere else. Not the webui, not through SMARTconsole. You keep getting, "Authentication to x.x.x.x failed". The same goes for webui. If you log in there, you can't...
