    Need help with premiere 6

    I just got premiere 6 and audio is all I can figure out... i imported two clips to mess around with learning transitions and effects but I cant fit a transition in between a clip and the effect only stays on for a split second??? As soon as I hit play in the viewing window it plays the normal...
