I can't play .mid files or misic CD's
I'm running an AMD K62 500MHz CPU in an Gigabyte GA-5AX MB, 256 SDRam, I have an 8M Graphics card, and a Creative SB 128 PCI sound card. Every time I try to play a Midi file or an Audio CD my computer hangs, not even Ctrl/Alt/Del will work, I have all the latest drivers for my hardware, and...- RanBourn

Pentium not MMX compatible?
I recently installed a Rockwell 56K software modem in a friends computer. It's quite an old looking machine with a pentium 200MHz CPU. She is running windows 98 also. But when I installed the drivers for the modem a message popped up saying that the CPU is not MMX, I have never come accross...- RanBourn
