FTP Login Failure
I have an old AIX 4.3 server that I will call “oldaix” and I have a new AIX 5.2 server that I will call “newaix”. I can ftp into both servers from a Windows PC, can ftp from “oldaix” to “newaix” but I get “Login failed” when ftp’ing from “newaix” to “oldaix”. Any ideas as to what I need to... -
Comparing a directory on two hosts
I want to compare directories on two different hosts. The only command that I can come close is: # rsh hostnew dircomp -s /bin /bin Using this I am trying to compare the /bin directory on two hosts, one of which is named hostnew. Any ideas on how to distinguish the 2nd /bin as the oldhost? -
AIX Fast Connect
I still can't get Samba to install but while researching the problem I came upon "AIX Fast Connect" which seems to be a replacement for Samba. Has anyone tried "AIX Fast Connect"? Thanks -
