    All matching ports in use

    We are running mgetty with Fedora ver 1 and using a modem to connect to other Linux servers with cu as well as using uucp to send files between these servers. The modem works once when rebooted and then says 'All matching ports in use.' even though the permissions have been reset on the modem...

    Setting up FTP on Mandrake

    I have installed Mandrake ver 9.1, but can't get ftp working so that I can ftp to the server from a PC. I have run wu-ftpd. This lets me connect to the server and brings up the login, but no logins are allowed to ftp.

    Terminal id's not being reset

    We have a server running Fedora, ver 2.6. The terminal ID's aren't being released, so that when pts/1, pts/2 and pts/3 are logged in and pts/1 logs out, the next person to log in gets pts/4 instead of pts/1. Is there a setting somewhere we have missed? Please help...

    WARNING: User login limit exceeded - SCO 5.0.6

    Hi, I am getting the above message logged in the /usr/adm/messages file. On one of the servers, it seems that as the additional user logs in, an original user is kicked out. Any suggestions? Thanks Dave
