    scale shown in corel 8 but not in 10?

    Why is it when I type in text with my Corel 8 the tool bar shows the scale size of the letter, when I click on it. I can then go to the scale to change the height and width. But in the newer Corel 10 and 12 this scale is not visible unless I convert the text to curves.

    distorted image

    why is it that the corel cdr vector image distorts when I open it in coreldraw 8, and when I open the same image file in coreldraw 11 it is a perfect vector image. Image gets jagged like it is a bmp image.
