Good morning,
I had to create 2 new VLANS on our Nexus 7K, Vlan 151(voice) and Vlan 152(data), for our newly built warehouse. How do I configure the Nexus 7K to be the gateway for both of these new vlans?
Thank you
Thanks,
Chad

Hello...we have a VG224 with 4 bad ports, per TAC. Cisco sent me the replacement and I am needing to swap it out. I have copied the config to notepad from the existing VG224. I've tried pasting this via putty, but it errors out in many areas of the config. The admin is out on vacation...can...
Hello,
We have 4 IDF closets that each hold a large stack of 3750X series switches. We also provide DSL access to our contractors via 1 modem in each closet plugs into a 2960G switch that mounts below the stack and is shared through the 2960. These contractors are bringing in wireless routers...
Good afternoon,
I have an extension that is used as a "community information" line for the local residents. Recently, it has been flooded by callers out of state (same 4 numbers all of the time). I want to stop these callers, but I know that my switch does not provide this functionality to...

Good morning...If single mode fiber has been ran all the way up to and terminated on the patch panel, can we then use a multi-mode patch cable from the patch panel to the switch (Cisco 2940) and into the SFP (GLC-LH-SM)?
Thank you

Hello,
we have been using Reporting Services for several months. It is installed on a Microsoft Server 2003 Standard, SQL 2005 <SP3> server. Everything has been running fine until the past month. I haven't been able to pinpoint what caused this issue, but we can no longer authenticate into the...
I recently demoted one of our Domain Controllers back to a Member Server, which is also a DNS server, and after DCPROMO finished, some of our SQL services will not run...when trying to start them, it gives me an "access denied" error. The SQL services run as SQLAGENT, which is still a user in...
We push out our proxy through Group Policies. It has worked flawlessly for 3 years until 1 day a few people had issues getting to the internet. After checking their proxy server settings in Internet Explorer, there were illegal characters in the address and did not match the address we are...
Good afternoon,
I have read several articles on the subject, including the help file. I have demoted DC's in the past, but always after hours or over a weekend. I need to try to do this today, as soon as possible. It is an older server and is starting to have some issues.
I already have another...
Good afternoon, sorry so lengthy...I wanted to give you my troubleshooting steps so far.

I realize that this also could go in the XP Pro forum, but I'll try here first. Last week a user went to log onto his workstation and it asked him to change his password. He had a customer come in for business, so he just went ahead and hit ENTER and this in fact let him change it to be blank...

Is there a way through Group Policies (2003 Server) ,or any other method, to give our managers at our remote locations permissions to change network settings such, as IP addresses, but at the same time we don't want to give them too much permissions that would not allow them to be able to...
I have a multi part question that will probably end up being quite lengthy, so I apologize for the size. My scenario is: I am finding that since we switched to a new business system, I am CONSTANTLY going from workstation to workstation and repeating non value-added tasks and really need to try...
I want to change the Administrator's password for our domains but we have many, many programs and more importantly services that are already set to run with the current administrators password. If I make the change, will I also have to go into each service and change the password from there...
When I upgrade a Windows 98 client to 2000 Pro(Upgrade Option), is there a way I can make it so that after the upgrade is finished, all the user has to do is log in to the domain and it will automatically pull down their Desktop settings, Favorites, etc? I currently am Upgrading, and then...
