28 Tapes...4 Weeks...1 Tape per day... but.
Well, I am certainly doing something wrong, but as a noob, it is pretty normal :o). I use a HP MSL6030 with 29 slots. I would like 1 FULL SAVE per day on one tape that should go to the offsite storage. Next day, i want the system to take another tape...But legato continue appending the tape if...- kikithefly

DAILY JOB + LABEL ON MSL6030
Hi, Here is the sum-up : I am a total noob on Legato. I am on 7.1.3. Our MSL is a MSL6030 from HP, with one LTO3 drive and 29 slots. Each day i want to perform a Full backup of all my servers, then eject the tape in the mail slot once finished. Well...Once said, the following is certainly easy...- kikithefly

Same Server Name Twice
Well, let me explain : A) I work on Networker 7.1.2 on W2K server B) My server is called xx-yyyyy-zzz C) His FQDN is xx-yyyyy-zzz.aa.mycompany.com In the networker server list i can see : - xx-yyyyy-zzz - xx-yyyyy-zzz.aa.mycompany.com When double clic on them, it brings me to xx-yyyyy-zzz...- kikithefly

Daily bkp on single tape - same tape everyday
Hi, NOOB question. I know, it is weird, but we can't do anything else until next couple months... I would like to set-up a daily bkp on a single tape, that will be erased (so recycled) everyday just before the backup. Why ?
