I am receiving the message "NTVDM has encountered a hard error" when trying to run sysedit or command. Also when trying to install certain applications.
Can't even uninstall/reinstall sp1.
Any ideas out there on a fix?

I have a full and differential running based on archive bit. Every time I change permissions, usually temporarily, the differential sees this as a changed file and bloats my backup. Is there a way to disable this response to altered file permissions?

Has anyone had problems installing 1GB memory sticks in the dell PE4400? Viking specifically sells this size memory for the 4400 but dell doesn't list it on their site. My 1GB modules currently do not enjoy the company of the 4400.

When attempting to merge and restore info I am unable to restore specific files. The session will show itself and allow me to restore it in its entirety but querying an individual file turns up empty. Is there a correct method for restoring a specific file?

I have a simple rotation scheme in place waiting in the job queue with" ready" but it will not execute. There are no messages either positive or negative relsting to this job. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks for the help
