    How do I track users?

    Management would like to track users when they change files in the event someone tries to maliciously alter data. I would like to know if Windows server 2000 or 2003 is capable of logging or in a lournal what users & when files are modified???

    How can I log or track users when they create, modify etc. files...Is there a utility in netware 5.1 SP7? We want to be able to know who, when they made changes to certain files. Any help greatly appreciated.

    activity logged in journal???

    Does anyone know if there is a way to have activity logged into a journal? I have a number of users changing files, deleting or creating new ones, is there a way or process that will record who & when. If 5 users modify a single file could I have all these changes logged???

    Investigating CPU utilization

    Netware 5.1/SP7 monitor screen shows CPU utilization running 45~48% (typically it runs below 10%). How can I identify which process is consuming the CPU. Is there a screen which details all the processes & percent usage similiar to the windows "ctrl-alt-del" keys??? Thanks

    extracting data

    I have a Dell Latitude laptop running Win2k. I've tried reloading but boots to the blue system crash/dump screen. Fortunately, partition is FAT32, so I can see data on "C:\" when booting w/Win98 start disc. Any ideas, cables, secondary hard drives, methods on extracting data from c drive???

    Arcserve7 limited to 8 characters

    I try searching for a file in the restore feature (restore tree). When I enter the file name it only permits 8 characters. The file name is greater than 8 characters. Is there a work around? What am I missing here? Thanks

    Eliminating WINS Broadcasting

    I'm running Netware 5.1, ISP provides DNS, we're using Netbios for sharing, WIN9x machines. My network has large bandwicth consumption by WINS Broadcasting. Is there any way to eliminate the Bcasting or should I create a local WINS server??? No DHCP either. Thanks
