    I am a telecom guy, So I dont know much about data. I was asked to run a cable from server to switch just a long patch cord with male rj plugs on both ends.     Thinking about going into residential cabling

    I know an electrician who wants to stop pulling phone and cable and just do the electric. He says they will pay $45 per drop and I supply the cable and jacks. Does this sound worth it to you guys?
