    System hangs at POST

    I have a pentium III 500 which hangs at post on detection of HDD. New HDD fitted with same issue. Disconnect HDD and connect to secondary IDE slot same issue. IF i connect the CDROM's to the IDE 1 or 2 and system tries to boot. Is this issue with HDD controller chip on the board or another...
