VPN is certainly something we're interested in configuring for our office network. when i did my win2k mcse it went into some depth discussing how to set it up etc but it never mentioned speed issues at all.
we'd want to use it for running software and for opening and viewing word/excel...
We've just installed Norton internet security on 3 workstations and none of the workstations can now see each other for file sharing etc.
any ideas how to get round this?? is it blocking something?

took and failed the ccna exam today having thouroughly read through the lammle sybex ccna book.
in the exam were a number of questions on RIP v2, configuring NAT etc which were not througoughly covered in the sybex book.

I've got some 2504 routers in my home lab. These have got token ring and not direct ethernet connections on them.
Would it be possible to connect a regular straight-through cable from the ethernet port on my to the aux port on one of the routers - i.e. to simulate an ethernet connection...
