    where is my CDE?

    I just loaded my system with AIX 5.2 and the system came directly up to the diagnostic menu in the maintenance shell. I can get into a GUI by typing "xinit" in single user mode, but i want to be able to use the CDE. Does anyone know how to get into the CDE? i also want to make sure that it...

    RS6000 model 150 stalls on 0549

    I have a system here that does not boot up. After i get to the "starting software" message, my screen goes blank and the operator display stalls on 0549. Not getting output through the serial port either. Anyone know how to fix this? Thank you in advance for your help.

    RS/6000 Model 150 displays ??? as CPU speed

    anyone know why this happens? i'm not getting any error messages. if i use the pmcycles command it clocks the correct CPU speed, but the prtconf command gives me the following output: /usr/sbin/prtconf[81]: (procspeed%1000000) >= 500000: bad number any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!
