    Root account is disabled. How to get in?

    The user-account ROOT is disabled because I thought I was working with a user but was working with ROOT. So now the ROOT account is disabled. It is not a MAC OS. Unix version 4. Need help, we think the last resort is to reinstall the system but are there any other ways?
