should i leave the Nam powered down until the Mics is completed with the upgrade or power them up at the same time

i know both the NAM nd call pilot support desktop messaging. the question i have is, will both support sending the voice messages to a POP3 email account?
1. can a NAM voicemail with desktop messaging have their voice messages sent to an email server POP3 software?
2. will the above work with the the call pilot 150 with unified messaging?
