How can I change the weight of a font within a postscript document? I don't mean changing the font SIZE, like 12 point, but changing the thickness of the strokes making up the letter?
Thanks
I asked this question a year ago, and still have not made it work.
I have multiple page postscript files to print. Some I want duplex, some not, some bound portrait, and some landscape. Rather than make manual changes on the printer (HP 4000dn) for each change, I would like to use postscript...
Since Mac os X doesn't seem to support the downloading of postscript files to the printer printing duplex, I would like to know what kind of ps command needs to be used to tell the printer to print both sides of the page, and where in the document exactly should I put it?
I have been able for years to print postscript files (*.ps) stored in a desktop folder by dragging them to the desktop printer (HP 4600) in os 9.
New to Tiger, I find the same approach leads to two problems:
the files are printing in reverse order (i.e., files "A.ps", "B.ps", "C.ps" when...

This is a great place with great help.
I've been using a beta program for the Mac since 1985 called JustText. It converts coded text to ps. When I want to insert a bunch of text in a document, I just strip the text's ps header and footer, save it and use the {inHardDisk:directory:filename.ps}...
Has anyone used the spooler at
http://tarzan.trincoll.edu/printing/ppr-doc-1.51/pprinst/pprinst.html
?
Documentation a little dense for my beginner's mind. I'd like to hear of anyone's experience. Also about any other ps spooling (for a mac).
Thx
First question:
I know how to use setgray to print a dim or lightweight version of a word, but how can I do the same lightweight effect for a color word? Using setgray ignores the color and makes it gray.
