i want to get a nim master into an lpar 570 which will go offsite. i created a mksysb of my original master (f50-nim), nim installed it into a partition and it now runs as i570-nim and any command i use it says 'only excute on a nim master'. what defines it as a nim master and what can I change...

has anyone seen a problem where having defined an lpar (or several) and then a profile, and then booting the lpar ok. when you next look at the hmc display on pc or hmc the profiles have disappeared? the lpar still runs ok till you next activate it, when it says 'i need a profile to boot'

hello all, i have a problem getting nim to install an earlier version of aix. I know you can't get a 5.3 master to install 5.3 etc. 1. setup nim on 5.2, installs 5.2 ok onto f50 p660 p650 etc 2. install spot/lpp for 4.3.3, won't install to f50 f40 3. doesn't seem to install 5.2 anymore either...

hello all, I have aquired a few Bull 'B4-B' fibre cards which I would like to use in Pseries. or F50's cfgmgr complains that devices.pci.df1001f8. is not found. Does anyone have the Bull cd's for AIX 433, 52 and/or 53 that they could copy the relevent files for me please?

installed an emulex single port lc card in F50. can see it in lscfg tried to install from cd 1 aix 433 needs devices.pci.fibre-channel and devices.pci.pciclass.0c0400 can't find on cd or on 5.1 or 5.2 does anyone know if it exists and where I can get a copy?
