    consolidating data in excel

    I am trying to consolidate data. I have a list of 13,448 part numbers in col A, which can be consolidated into appx 4000 exact matches, with quantities from diff consumers in cols B, C and D. I go to data/consolidate and enter the range of A2:D13449 but all it does is copy the entire range...

    comparing two columns of data

    I'm trying to take two columns of data (one is 500 entries the other is 1500 entries) and compare and generate exact matches as column C. I've tries using the VLOOKUP function, but can't seem to get the formula to work.
