Best modem for Linux & Windows 2000prof
Please could anyone suggest a good modem for both windows 2000 prof and Linux. I would prefer a modem which has a hardware DSP and the protocol software on the modem, due to problems with current winmodem (even though it works on linux, it runs very slow on both OS's). I've not had much joy...- damiandixon

Ambient MD5628D only connecting at 33.6
I've just installed a Ambient chipset modem and it will only connect at 33.6, which while significantly better then the old modem, is no-where near what I expected considering it is meant to be V90. I have tried a different machine and modem, which is V90, on the same line using the same cables...- damiandixon
