    App for using System Level Memory

    Does anyone have a good app or script that can use memory at the system level, I have created a script that uses user level memory using the Java JVM but I need something more at the system level Any help would be appriciated

    getting CPU utilization for a single program

    I am trying to get the cpu usage from a single program into my script but KI cant figure out how to get it. I have been greping it from the "TOP" utility but TOP uses too much resources and I would like to get the info directly from the OS instead. Does anyone know how to do this...
