the tech asked me if i wanted them for tcp or udp

one of our users was downloading a pdf from his online citibank account. when he tries to open the pdf (as opposed to saving the download file) it puts up this error.

my dns is working properly etc
but what i have in the fqdn entry is mail.mydomain.lan
the .lan being my inside dns zone
should that show mail.mydomain.com instead?
