Is there any way to define a object style with x/y coordinates? I have to manually move objects throughout a 500+ page book and didn't know if it is possible to define coordinates via an object style. Any thoughts?
Am I missing something or do I have to manually index mark each name (of which there are over 2,000 contained in 18 chapters in the book)? I thought that one could earmark a style to include in an index. Is it possible to do a search and replace with index markers? The looming task of clicking...
I understand how to do the mail merge function in CS3. The roadblock I'm at is that I need to merge over 5,000 records and the csv file is set up so that multiple names are "tied" to the same ID. (e.g.,

C3 now appears to print the document information lower on the page. Hence, this information is printing over our slug. I understand we can move the slug down, but is there a way to change the placement of the document information as our older documents (created in CS2) that we are bringing...
Using Acrobat 8 - it is my understanding that Forms created in Acrobat LifeCycle can be filled and saved by Reader 8. What I am encountering is that the Distribute step is requiring an email account. I do not want the form to ever be emailed, is this possible? And how do I bypass the "placing of...
I need to do a simple subtraction from another field and do not know javascript to write a code. Either I am missing something very obvious, or Acrobat did not include that math function.

When I create a PDF from a Word document (either from print menu via Acrobat PDF or convert to PDF from toolbar) any bullets created from the numbering list do not show on the PDF. I have tried changing distiller settings to Press Ready, but to no avail. The only work around has been to reset...
I receive "an unknown error has occurred" when I try to save an .ai file. Destination of file doesn't matter, e.g., harddrive, network server. I can, however, save an .eps and .pdf. Have installed all known updates as of 2/7/06.
Any suggestions?
Creative Suite CS2, Windows XP.
I don't know if I am missing something new in CS2 that was not a step in CS, but I can not drag column guides to create uneven column widths. Has anyone experienced (and resolved) this in CS2?
I am setting up a simple form using Acrobe 7 (Professional). Because several text fields are contained with existing sentences (i.e., Forecast current as of Month YR. Revised forecasts will be available... [where as Month YR are the variable text]) is there any way to have the text following the...
I recently installed the complete Adobe CS2 suite (Win XP). Viewing Help contents (via any program INDD, Photoshop etc.) is virtually impossible as the display font is brush script. Does anyone know how to change the font?

font is a composite font (2-byte) (13x).
The same InDesign file that is written as a postscript, then distilled, does not result in this error, nor is there an issue with hardcopy printouts.
Any clue...
Is there any way to export a PDF from InDesign at a reduced size. That is, printed at 50%. I have been been previously been printing to Acrobat (as my printer) and selecting a reduction percent when I need a smaller output.
