    CD-Rom will spin up and lock up system at random

    This is really odd. Its happening on my home PC and on a users laptop at work. Were both running XP Pro, my system is a AMD XP clone I built myself, his is a Gateway solo 9550. Whats happening to him is his CD-ROM will spin up out of nowhere and lock his system up (hardlock) at random...
