I'm about to format our Windows Server 2003 box and I need to know if there is an easy way to save the usernames/passwords that are used to connect to the server. It's a stand alone server not on active directory.
I've noticed recently that my network can't get to a few websites. When I try to browse or ping that site it says not available. However, when I change the DNS address on my PC from our DNS server to one of SBC's DNS servers I can browse and ping the site just fine.
I've checked our DNS...
I'm having a very difficult time with our Active Directory Forest. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Here is what has happened so far:
Our primary domain controller and master operator server crashed and burned with no recovery possible. The backups that we had apparently were...
I am having a very strange occurance happen on my network. All (or the vast majority) of our computers aren't remembering their mapped drives. Almost every morning we have to go around and reset the mapped drives. I has been verified that the Reconnect at logon checkbox has been checked. I...
I've inherited a network recently and I just got hit with a critical failure of the primary hard drive of our domain controller. I wasn't able to recover anything from the drive and had to install a new drive and reinstall server 2k. My problem is that we have 2 other servers on the domain...
We have Exchange 2k on a Win2k box. I am using Microsoft Outlook as my email program. It's setup to connect to the Exchange server (not just POP3). When I send an email to another person on my domain is works perfectly. I can receive emails from anyone within or outside of the network. The...
I have a virus pounding my front end router. It is consistantly running at 99%. Is there a way for me to see the actual TCP/IP address of the offending computer(s) by view a traffic log of some sort? Having to scan 500+ computers is not a cost effective course of action. Thanks.
I have a static IP route setup in my Cisco 2620 router. I can connect to the private address using pcAnywhere however when I try to connect to the public address (while on the private network) it errors out.
Can anyone shed some light on how to resolve this issue. Thanks
I'm having problems with one of my standalone win2k servers. I'm wanting to do one of 2 things but neither of them seems to want to work. I want to either, a) integrate it into my active directory tree (I have 8 servers in the AD tree) or b) be able to map a drive on my client PCs from that...
I'm a total rookie when it comes to programming routers. However, our router specialist isn't available and I need to add an additional static route to the routing table of my router. Can anyone tell me the commands to use to add one?
My network of over 250 computers keeps getting infected with Netsky.P viruses. It's usually 2-3 computers that bring the network/Internet to a crawl. Is there any way that I can look at the badmail folder and determine the origination of the email. That'd save a lot of time have to check each...
Where do I go to see this information? I know where to find it on Windows NT, 2k and XP but I can't seem to find it on 9x. I'm wanting to see the network traffic coming from a particular Win9x computer (like when you'd established a Dial-up Networking session). Can anyone help me on this one...

I was just wondering what exactly goes into this directory. We've been hit with the Netsky virus and my virus checker always shows the infected files to go into this folder. We have a bunch of infected emails. I was just wondering what the repercussions would be if I deleted all files in this...

I am running Exchange 2000 on a W2k box. It has recently decided to start locking out user accounts. This morning I went through and manually unlocked all the account on the server and about 15-30 minutes later they were locked again. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas?
