    SMS 3 error communicating with component MP_Control_Manager

    running SMS 2003 on windows 2003 server AD structure, at a holding point as SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER gives "Error Communicating with Component" under service manager - never polled.... any helpful hints would be appreciated! thanks
